Freelance copywriter: FAQs

Why should I choose wtw for my PR and copywriting?
You should only choose us if you believe we have the right PR and copywriting skills for the job. Our director, Richard Jebb has 12 years’ business and marketing communications experience, numerous successes, natural creativity, and an enthusiastic approach. This makes him one of the best choices for a copywriter you could make, but please feel free to question everything he does first. You can view his 'Work Gallery' and read what others have said about Richard's work on the testimonials pages, or call him for a chat about how he would approach your copywriting project.

How much do you charge for PR and copywriting projects?
wtw's PR and copywriting charges are based on a project by project basis. We consider your project and agree a fixed price with you. Payment is due 14 days after we invoice you for the project.

Are there any hidden costs?
No. We will complete the project for you for the fee we agree before the project starts. The only way this can change is if you decide to change the PR or copywriting requirement before the project is complete, if this happens a new fee will be agreed before we continue.

How much information do you need before you can start a PR or copywriting project?
As much as you can give us; the more information, the better the outcome. Richard Jebb, our director, has a naturally inquisitive nature, so expect him to ask lots of questions. It's essential in business communication to understand the business, brand, product and project you are working for. It's the way you find the 'hook', that unique series of words that grabs attention and keeps it. The information we will need can include some or all of the following, company background, the business objectives, the project objectives, examples of any other literature on you company or product/service, legal requirements, sensitivities, brand characteristics, target market, the tone of voice, the media to be used, competitor review. Don’t worry if this sounds daunting, we can probably put a tick next to most of these requirements by reviewing current literature such as your website and by having a quick chat with you about the PR or copywriting you require.

Can I trust you to meet copy deadlines?
Yes. After spending so much effort convincing you to use wtw for PR and copywriting, we'd be crazy not to be reliable and we'll work round the clock if necessary to ensure we do.

Can I call you at short notice, like when I need something by tomorrow?
Yes, we’ll always do our best to help. We've noticed news clients tend to call when they're up against it. They've a crucial marketing campaign but the copywriting lacks zest, a client that wants the impossible and your creative team is away and your usual freelance PR person is too busy. We love opportunities like these, they present the best way for us to demonstrate our PR and copywriting skills to you. And we'll do everything in my power to impress you, so that you want to use us for public relations and copywriting projects again and again. If it really is urgent, it’s usually best to call and send an email, to ensure you get through quickly. Richard's direct contact details are here.
